Many travelers do not like country and tourist areas. Eating an Italian pizza on a beach in India is a pleasure but also a sign of cultural "authenticity" of the people. A zone (or a beach , city, national park , etc.). Too exploited loses some of its charm. Business for tourists ( yet benefit the economy of the area) and the local people lose their interest to foreigners, the foreigners did , tired of seeing them open.
However I think that in all countries have areas that are tourist , areas , towns that allow you to escape the overcrowded circuits. So if you really want a little information and you can find less traveled routes around the world are not worth the complaints.
